Decisions, decisions

Virgin Atlantic were launching a beverage service for their long haul flights and needed a series of logos that were capable of doubling as pattern for their beverage packs.
Keen-eyed passengers may spot that each stain contains a discreet skyline of a popular Virgin destination.

resented to Virgin Atlantic, these cups where designed to work with the progressive movement of an airline beverage trolley.
On entering each cabin section the cup's 'Tea?' or 'Coffee?' choices are clearly visible to those waiting further down the aisle, yet as the trolley approaches the waiting passengers the cup's choices 'fade' to an understated pattern.

Inspirational Calender

After thinking about the inspiration calender competition brief from the paper co. Dave pointed me in the direction of this rather impressive solution, by Susana Hertrich ( MA Deisign Interactions RCA ). 365 days are printed on a roll of paper, which is fed through a shredder. The shedder is programmed to use exactly 24 hours to shred on day.

Clocks

Polar Clock

I have just downloaded the polar clock by pixelbreaker. It makes a change from the usual screensaver. I like how the colours change as time goes on. simple but effective.

Questionnaire

This is a CD compilation that only contains songs with titles in the form of a question. The CD is packaged on a printed clip board, a device commonly used when answering questions. Behind the CD are two pages containing the song names in the form a questionnaire.

Pixel Notes

A wallpaper consisting of four layers of varying grey tones on a bright primary backing. Each layer is perforated in a grid format and backed with a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes. Pixelnotes is inspired by the way we work within a space. The walls become functional, an integrated noticeboard that documents our activity within the room. Pixelated formations and shapes develop according to our patterns of use.
